The Quimbaya Gold Museum Cultural Center is considered one of the most beautiful museums in Colombia. It is one of the seven gold museums of Colombia. It contains the archaeological gold sample of 5 Colombian departments, thus saving an important part of the archaeological memory of the Quimbaya Culture. A part of the gold, the architecture of the Cultural Center, draws attention for having been built in brick which highlights the landscape, and accompanying the topography there is a fall of water that runs through the museum, with some water mirrors. Also in its environment there is a Pre Hispanic garden of species of the time and an orchard with medicinal plants. It has a children’s library. It is a space for the whole family.
The Quimbaya Gold Museum Cultural Center is sponsored by the Bank of the Republic (This Bank sponsors 29 Cultural Centers throughout Colombia).
